Bringing a Community-Owned Grocery Store to Grand Rapids, MN.

Join 1380+ local residents building a better way to shop - fresh, local, and owned by the community.

What is Free Range Food Co-op?

A start-up food cooperative of over 1,380 owners and growing every day since 2016. We’re building a grocery store from the ground up, owned by the people of Grand Rapids and Itasca County.

Our Mission: Free Range Food Co-op is a cooperatively-owned grocery store committed to community well-being through access to local, wholesome, organic foods and goods.

More Than “Just” a Grocery Store

Become an Owner

Ownership means more than shopping — it means having a voice. As an owner, you help shape the store, support local food systems, and invest in your community.

  • Vote in co-op decisions
  • Support local farms and businesses
  • Invest in your local food system
  • Be part of something built by the community
